Our feet are often neglected until they hurt. This month we invite you to pay special attention to your ankles, feet and toes. The beauty of these simple exercises is that you can do them while watching t.v. or sitting outside.

Toes First

While sitting make toe fists and then open your toes as wide as you can. Feel the breeze between each toe.

Repeat 5 times per foot.

Circles

While sitting circle your ankles around slowly 5 times each direction. You might find it helpful to cross your knees.

Heel Raises

Stand with your feet hip distance apart. Place one hand on the wall to help with balance.  Rise up on your toes and then slowly lower your heals down. Repeat 6 – 10 times.

Scrunch

While sitting, place a hand towel on the floor. Use your toes to scrunch up the towel.

Pick-Up Sticks

While sitting, try to grab a pencil with your toes and pick it up.

Repeat 3 times on each foot.

While sitting, roll each foot on a golf ball. If that feels too hard try a tennis ball instead.
