This is a great stretch to do before and after walking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. If you’ve done the Soleus Raises Strengthener of the Month, you’ll also want to stretch those muscles out. You may also find this helpful to do often if you wear high heels or get cramps in your calf muscles.

To do this, stand facing a wall arm’s length away.  With your left foot, take a step directly back and slightly bend your knees.  Keep both feet planted on the ground.  You can provide a little more of a stretch by moving your left foot even farther back. Hold for 3 long breaths, then switch sides!
